3 killed in 2 accidents on state roads

— Two men and a woman died in two separate wrecks late Wednesday and early Thursday, state police said.

Darren Snow, 23, of West Rison, died Wednesday and James Killer, 34, and Nicole Tackett, 32, died Thursday, according to preliminary crash reports.

About 11:55 p.m. Wednesday,after friends had pulled Snow’s 1987 Toyota pickup out of a ditch along U.S. 63 just south of Pine Bluff, Snow attempted a U-turn from the southbound shoulder.

He drove in front of a southbound 2010 Mack truck and struck the tractor-trailer, police said.

Snow died at the scene. The tractor-trailer driver was not injured, police said.

Shortly before 1 a.m. Thursday, Killer was northbound in the 15000 block of Arkansas 27 in Pope County when he failed to make a left turn, veered off the road and struck a tree, the report said. Killer and Tackett, a passenger, were killed, state police said.
