ROGERS — Detectives have identified a “person of interest” in connection with a stabbing Sunday, but a department spokesman stressed the investigation is continuing.
Keith Foster, spokesman, stopped short Tuesday of identifying the person as a suspect, and said he couldn’t release additional information.
Jacob Merriman, 25, of Rogers received multiple lacerations to his face and abdomen, according to a Police Department news release. Police said Merriman was in stable condition Tuesday at Northwest Medical Center-Bentonville.
Merriman was involved in an altercation with an unknown man while Merriman was outside walking in the apartment complex at 808 E. Post Road, according to the news release. The cause of the disturbance isn’t known.
Police were called at 5:58 p.m. The man fled the scene before officers arrived, according to the news release.
