Helen Bernice Conduff

SPRINGDALE — Mrs. Helen Bernice Conduff, 84, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Saturday, Nov. 17, 2012, in Springdale. She was born Feb. 23, 1928, in Bakersfield, Calif., to Donald R. Clark and Bernice (Cornelius) Clark. She was a retired sales clerk and a member of Christian Life Cathedral in Fayetteville.

She is survived by her husband, Charles Conduff; two sons, Don Conduff and wife Susan, of Missouri City, Texas, and Ernie Conduff and wife, Terry of Springdale, Ark.; two daughters, Diana Newton and husband, Tom of Gloucester, Mass., and Kathy Conduff of Springdale, Ark.; two sisters, Margie White and husband, Bryan of Shafter, Calif., and Sharon Bailey and husband, John of Bentonville, Ark.; 11 grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held 5:30 to 7 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23 at Nelson-Berna Funeral Home in Fayetteville.

Graveside funeral services will be 11 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24 at Friendship Cemetery in Springdale with Pastor Steve Dixon officiating.

Beatrice Ruth Groff

PARIS, Tenn. — Former Springdale resident, Beatrice Groff, age 91, died Nov. 19, 2012, in Paris, Tenn. She leaves children, Rosalind Brantley, Deborah Campbell, Julia Ribby and Jan Campbell; 12 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

She was a member of Women of the Moose in Springdale and enjoyed gardening. She is to be cremated with a service held at a later date in Arkansas.

Kenneth Ray Martin

ONIA — Kenneth Ray Martin, age 64, of Elm Springs, died Nov. 19, 2012, in Onia, Ark. He was born Aug. 24, 1948, in Marshall, Ark., the son of Logan and Ruth Williams Martin.

He was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed hunting. Mr. Martin served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era in the 101st Division and was awarded many medals including two Bronze Stars and the Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal.

He retired from the Fayetteville Police Department as a lieutenant after 22 years of service and served as the chief of police for Elm Springs for eight years before retiring.

He is survived by his wife, Connie West Martin of the home; one son, Damon Martin and his wife, Sara of Inwood, W.V.; one grandson, Colman Martin; and two brothers, Keith Martin of Mountain View, Ark., and Michael Martin of Onia, Ark.

Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at Memorial Funeral Chapel with Pastor Steve Sheeley officiating. Burial will follow in Elm Springs Cemetery under the direction of Memorial Funeral Home.

Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 12 noon Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at the funeral home.

Earl Wayne Rankin

FAYETTEVILLE — Earl Wayne Rankin, age 53, of Fayetteville, was born Sept. 23, 1959, and passed away Nov. 19, 2012.

Survivors include his parents, Frankie and Geneva Rankin of Brentwood, Ark.; one son, Joshua Lee Rankin of Brentwood, Ark.; two daughters, Pamela Kay Johnson and husband, Terry of Adamsville, Tenn.; Jinnifer Perry and husband, James of Johnson, Ark.; one brother, Jerial Dean Rankin and Lorrie of West Fork, Ark.; four grandchildren, Triston, Vanessa, Kathleen Johnson and Waylen Perry; nieces and nephews; Earl’s significant other, Jerry Ann Smith, who has been with him through all of this, and she has three daughters and seven grandchildren.

Earl worked at RMP Tunes Concrete and also worked on a farm. He loved animals and did concrete work, building houses with his brother. Earl liked working outdoors, fishing, camping and cooking out on the grill, and walking with his dog, “Lady Bug.”

Private family inurnment services will be held Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at 11:30 a.m. at the Mount Comfort Cemetery.

Hubert Truman Rhine

FARMINGTON — Hubert Truman Rhine, 80, a resident of Farmington, passed away Nov. 15, 2012, at Prairie Grove Health and Rehab in Prairie Grove. He was born Oct. 16, 1932, in Gentry, the son of Robert and Arzona Pike Rhine.

Survivors include seven children, Bill and Glenda Rhine of Lincoln, Rick and Mary Rhine of Sacramento, Calif., Christine Morrison and Hubert D. Smith, both of Prairie Grove, Michael Wayne Brown of Viney Grove, Cathy and James Walthers of Farmington and Debra Clark of Riverton, Kan.; three brothers, Troy (Bud) Rhine and wife, Lou Ella of Cincinnati, Ark., Gene Beeks and wife, Sue of Farmington, Kenneth Beeks and wife, Mary of Prairie Grove; six sisters, Bernice Hutchens of Greenland, Opal Schlesinger and husband, Sonny of Anchorage, Alaska, Helen Fisher and husband, Darrell of Springdale, Geraldine Broyles of Springdale, Sharon McFerrin and husband, Carroll of Springdale and Myrna Coyle of Prairie Grove; 14 grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Family will receive friends on Friday evening from 6 to 7 p.m., at Luginbuel Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held 10 a.m., Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Luginbuel Chapel. Burial will be in Combs Cemetery; there will be no graveside services held at the cemetery.

Opal Ouida Webb

ROGERS — Opal Ouida Webb, 91, of Rogers died Nov. 18, 2012, in Rogers.

She is survived by one son, David Shelley of Rogers; along with many other relatives.

Funeral will be Friday, Nov. 23, at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Lowell.

Visitation will be Friday from 9 to 11 a.m. at the church.
