Memo to Arkansas legislators

NOW THAT the Arkansas legislature has a Republican majority in both houses for the first time in more than a century, the odds are taxes will be cut. What’s more, a Democratic governor has already proposed reducing the state’s sales tax on groceries, long known as The Shame of Arkansas, from 1.5 percent to an eighth of a percent.
