Two Face Drug Charges

Two Pea Ridge residents were arrested Sunday on drug-related charges, according to Bentonville police.

Emily Gayle Faust, 32, and Jay Wheeless, 23, both of 999 Ashley Lane in Pea Ridge, were arrested after Bentonville police received a tip about a possible drug transaction involving an employee at Taco Bell.

Wheeless, who was working the drive-through at Taco Bell, received two blue, round pills from Faust, police said. Faust told police she had received the pills from a woman named Linda.

Wheeless told police that he knew that the pills were a narcotic, but was not sure what type of narcotic. Faust said a man was supposed to pick up the pills in the lobby at Taco Bell, police said.

Faust and Wheeless both being held Sunday in the Benton County Jail without bond.

Faust was being held in connection with felony possession with intent to deliver a controlled substance. Wheeless was held in connection with felony possession of a controlled substance.
