Police: Man assaulted officer, caused wreck

A man kicked a police officer in the groin Friday before fleeing and causing a wreck on Sunset Avenue, according to a news release from the Springdale Police Department.
Dennis Bree, 37, was arrested in connection with domestic battery, driving while intoxicated, assault on an officer, flight from an officer, endangering the welfare of a minor and reckless driving, according to a news release.
A 2-year-old was in Bree's vehicle when he fled in a truck, running through a red light and crossing into oncoming traffic, the news release stated.
