Home For Dinner

serves families

Returned veterans of Benton County have the opportunity to provide a meal for their family or friends at a local restaurant through a new project, Home for Dinner.

The kick-off of the project will be Tuesday, when gift certificates will be presented to local veterans at the office of Attorney Lisa A. Reeves, 2846 Bella Vista Way in Bella Vista. Each veteran must provide proof of residence in Benton County and a military DD Form 214.

The public may get involved at www.home4dinner.us. All contributions are tax deductible.

Gift baskets benefit library

The Friends of the Bella Vista Library have startedthe annual gift basket silent auction. The baskets are filled with holiday gift-giving ideas and are on display at the library, 11 Dickens Place in Bella Vista. Proceeds enable the library to offer books, tapes, programs and services.

The bidding ends at 1 p.m. Dec. 8.

Book collection aids veterans

The American Legion Auxiliary Post 341 will be conducting a magazine and paperback book drive for the regional veterans’ hospital on Tuesday. Donations may be brought to Allen’s Food Store in Bella Vista from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
