Former CIA Director David Petraeus (right) enters his home Friday in Arlington, Va., accompanied by security guards after testifying on Capitol Hill before the Senate and House intelligence committees.

Ex-CIA Director David Petraeus, who was whisked clandestinely into private meetings with Congress on Friday to avoid reporters, expressed regret anew in an appearance that marked his first official business since he resigned over an extramarital affair.
