— FLORIDA QB Driskel out

GAINESVILLE, Fla. - No. 6 Florida will be without quarterback Jeff Driskel against lower-division Jacksonville (Ala.) State on Saturday.

Coach Will Muschamp ruled Driskel out Wednesday because of a sprained right ankle, saying Jacoby Brissett will start against the Gamecocks (6-4). It will be Brissett’s third start in two seasons.

More importantly, Muschamp said he’s unsure whether Driskel will be able to play when the Gators (9-1) travel to 10th-ranked Florida State on Nov. 24.

“How much it’ll improve into next week, I have no idea at this time,” Muschamp said. “We feel like he’ll be available, but who knows?” TEXAS A&M
