In shooting, reward $2,000 for arrest tip

— West Memphis police officials are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the arrest of a man wanted in a fatal shooting.

Authorities are searching for Denarius Mathew Stallings, 21, of West Memphis in connection with the shooting death of Demyrion Miller, 21, of Memphis on Sunday, said Capt. Ken Mitchell of the West Memphis Police Department.

Officers responded to a call of shots fired near the Imperial Homes apartment complex at 2950 E. Jackson St. in West Memphis at 10 a.m. Sunday. When officers arrived, they found Miller and Phillip Jones, 20, of Memphis, on the ground outside the complex.

Both victims were taken to The Regional Medical Center in Memphis, where Miller later died. Jones remained in critical condition Monday, Mitchell said.

Stallings is wanted for first-degree murder, first-degree battery and possession of a firearm by certain persons.

Anyone with information about Stallings’ whereabouts is asked to call the Crittenden County Crime Stoppers at (870) 732-4444 or the West Memphis Police Department at (870) 735-1210. Officials with the Crime Stoppers organization said a $2,000 cash reward will be given for information leading to Stallings’ arrest.
