Where I live: My husband, Ben, and I live in the Walnut Valley subdivision of west Little Rock with our Shih Tzu named Tanner.
Occupation: I am the Arkansas Development Coordinator for Make-A-Wish Mid-South Chapter. My main responsibility is fundraising statewide.
My favorite space: The gazebo by the pool in the backyard.
Why? We love to entertain. We fell in love with the backyard with its pergola and decking. There is plenty of space for friends to lay out and lounge around the pool in the summer months. The gazebo is where we set up food for parties. We bought the house from the original owners. It is obvious from the improvements they made around the pool that they, too, loved the backyard.
If I could make one change to improve this space, I would: Add some permanent outdoor speakers so we don’t have to drag out an iPod dock each time we are out here. I would also replace our fan, which sometimes works and sometimes doesn’t.
