100 YEARS AGO Nov. 9, 1912 HELENA — The Helena City Council heard Superintendent Morse of the Iron Mountain railroad last night relative to the ordinance requiring the Iron Mountain to erect safety gates on the streets of the city crossed by the tracks of that road. Superintendent Morse argued that such steps would not increase the safety of any one and would be an unreasonable hardship on the road.
