Arrests

Benton County

Francisco Lopez-Puga, 33, of 1020 Hendrix St. in Rogers was arrested Sunday in connection with aggravated assault on a family or household member, false imprisonment in the second degree, interfering with emergency communications and felony failure to appear. Lopez-Puga was being held Monday in the Benton County Jail on $10,000 bond.

Springdale

Johnny C. Vital, 23, of 2936 Chadwick St. was arrested Monday in connection with a felony warrant for absconding, first-degree battery, residential burglary, intimidating a witness and misdemeanor violation of an order of protection. Police said Vital was arrested after he was found in a city park sleeping in a car. Vital was in the Washington County Detention Center on Monday on the parole violation.

Christopher L. Lackey, 25, of 715-B E. Center Ave. was arrested Monday in connection with felony parole violation and misdemeanor shoplifting. Lackey was arrested after trying to take two pairs of pants and a six-pack of alcohol from Walmart. Lackey was in the Washington County Detention Center Monday on the parole violation.

Accident

Rogers

A bicyclist was hit by a car late Friday in the 1300 block of West Hudson Road. Dustin Wayne Harris, 35, of Rogers was cycling eastbound on Hudson when he was hit by a 1998 Ford Mustang driven by Sean Stevens, 37, of Rogers according to police. Harris was taken to Northwest Medical Center then transferred to Mercy Medical Center in Springfield, Mo., said Keith Foster, public information officer for the Roger Police Department. No citations have been issued and police are still investigating the incident, Foster said Monday.

Fire

Firefighters responded late Sunday to a reported fire at a Harps Food Store in Lincoln, 718 W. Pridemore Drive.

Jay Norton, Lincoln fire administrator, said Monday the fire began in an employee smoking area outside the store. Norton attributed the fire to someone carelessly disposing of a cigarette.

He estimated damage to the exterior of the store at between $4,000 and $5,000. No one was injured. The store reopened Monday.

Rogers

A credit card was stolen when Jonathon Bruce’s vehicle was broken into Saturday at Outback Steakhouse, 4509 W. Poplar St. Bruce told police the card was used at E-Z Mart, 1722 W. Walnut St.

Identity theft was reported at 1749 W. Walnut St. on Saturday.

Theft of jewelry and cash was reported at 1905 S. 16th St. on Saturday.

Theft was reported at 1231 W. Walnut St. on Saturday.

Santos Chinchilla reported Saturday a jewelry box and $5,000 missing from 2403 S. Rill St.

Jasmine Pineda reported Friday a vehicle broken into at Rogers Heritage High School, 1114 S. Fifth St.

Samantha Weber reported Friday the theft of household items and jewelry at 904 E. Post Road.

William Morgan reported Friday debit card-related fraud.

Ryan Hughes, 601 W. Easy St., reported Friday the theft of bike tires.
