— It was standing room only at Cotham's in the City in Little Rock as the Arkansas Democratic Party gathered for its watch party on Tuesday night.

Television sets were on across the restaurant with election coverage, both nationwide and locally. Cheers broke out as swing state results were announced with Democratic victories.

Attendees were disappointed when results of a Romney win for Arkansas was announced.

"It just shows how behind Arkansas is when it comes to liberal issues," Sylvia Malek of Little Rock said.

Nick Schoenemann of Little Rock said he wasn't surprised. "It's no surprise whatsoever. I think [Obama] is the better choice. He's done a pretty good job with the state that the country was in when he took office. I think you find that kind of assessment from people across the spectrum."
