Police: Man Stole Packages Containing Drugs

Police arrested a Springdale man Thursday for reportedly stealing packages containing prescription drugs from his workplace.

Guy Dustin Hendrix, 33, of 4218 Greens Drive, No. 203, in Springdale faces felony charges in connection with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms and possession of drug paraphernalia.

According to a preliminary arrest report, Hendrix admitted to stealing between five and 12 packages from a local packaging company since June or July.

Hendrix was employed by the company when he stole the packages, according to the report. The name of the company wasn’t listed on the arrest report.

Police said the packages were reportedly filled with Oxycodone, morphine or Fentanyl patches.

During a search of his home, police seized 210 morphine pills, six Oxycodone pills, 2.9 grams of marijuana, 15 syringes, various drug paraphernalia and one semi-automatic pistol, according to the report.

Hendrix was released from the Washington County Detention Center on $3,500 bond Friday.
