Fall Historic Ramble plans local visits
The Historic Preservation Alliance of Arkansas will bring its Fall Historic Ramble to Northwest Arkansas Nov.
9-10 to tour local sites including Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art in Bentonville. Participants will get a VIP tour of the museum and a look at the special exhibit “Moshe Safdie and the Path to Crystal Bridges” with Niki Ciccotelli Stewart, the museum’s director of education.
The tour also includes a stop at the Monte Ne Historic Site; a tour of the Historic Washington County Courthouse with preservation architect John Dupree of Polk Stanley Wilcox; a tour of Headquarters House with University of Arkansas architecture professor Ethel Goodstein-Murphree;
and a Mid-Century Modern Tour of homes from the 1950s and 1960s in Fayetteville.
Tickets cost $100 for Alliance members or $125 for nonmembers. Cost for participating in Nov. 10 events only is $75.
