why is this city so in love with roundabouts? they're old school and will cause accidents, especially in an area as busy as wedington. wedington needs a median down the center so people will be forced to go to the light at Salem to turn east onto wedington at 8am instead of trying to turn out at Mcdonalds.

There are numerous studies that show that roundabouts reduce incidents of injury related accidents significantly, and all accidents are reduced.

also if you think about it. A distracted driver would be hard pressed to barrel through a red light and into the side of another vehicle at 45+ miles an hour causing a full side impact collision.
