A Dozen Issues With Roads Tax

Here are the top 12 reasons the highway tax, Issue No. 1, on the November ballot must be voted down: 1. Voting for more taxes does not automatically equal better roads because the Highway Commission is unaccountable and does not properly distribute highway funds so that the money follows the cars. We have no way to hold them accountable to do what they say will do.

We don't have the tax base to support the AHTD's profligate spending ways. To spend $100 with 100 people paying in, that is $1 a head; but to spend $100 with only 10 people paying is $10 a head. We don't have enough people to provide the facilities of a Texas or Louisiana or Tennessee or even MO or OK.
We already more per capita and these 5 piss it away.
Say NO! to issue #1.
