The Arkansas State Board of Education unanimously approved a charter school in Bentonville on Thursday. Responsive Education Solutions, a charter school organization based in Texas, plans to open the school next year.

The school will open with 445 students between the ages of kindergarten and eighth grade. Officials plan to add a grade each year until the school is kindergarten through 12th grade with 685 students. Officials with the school have previously stated it will be open-enrollment, meaning students aren't restricted by location or other criteria.

Representatives of the school told the Board of Education on Thursday that the school will be located at 5121 S.W. Runway Drive.
