FAYETTEVILLE — Arvest Bank plans to build a branch at the southwest corner of Township Street and College Avenue where a car dealership used to be.
Fayetteville planning commissioners are scheduled to review a large-scale development application for the project during a 9 a.m. subdivision committee meeting today at the City Administration Building, 113 W. Mountain St., and then again during a June 11 meeting of the full Planning Commission.
Plans for the 6,000-square-foot drive-through banking center include a shared access point with Burger King directly south of the 1.9-acre property, according to documents submitted to city planning staff.
Gaye Wilcox, sales manager for Arvest Bank in Fayetteville, said Wednesday a bank branch south at 1947 North College Ave. will close once the new location is completed.
According to the Bentonville-based bank’s website, Arvest operates 15 branches in Fayetteville.
The other corners of the intersection are populated with a Walgreens store, a Kum & Go store and a Day’s Inn hotel.
