FAYETTEVILLE — Law enforcement authorities arrested Kacey Jones, 34, of Fayetteville on Saturday in Marianna in connection with the shooting of Lee Charles Brown Jr., 37, Thursday night in south Fayetteville, authorities said.

About 8 p.m. Thursday, Fayetteville officers were called to a disturbance on Curtis Avenue involving about 30 people, according to police. Within minutes, police received multiple reports of shots fired down the road, near the Southmont Apartments, 1101 S. Curtis Ave.

Officers said they found Brown in the yard of 956 S. Curtis Ave. with a gunshot wound to his back.

Brown was taken to Washington Regional Medical Center, where he was treated for a “non-life threatening” injury, according to police.
