PUBLIC VIEWPOINT Woods Pays Attention To Voters

While chairwoman of Citizens for a Future Springdale, I had the pleasure of meeting most of our current public officials.

State Rep. Jon Woods would always show up unless he was unable to get away from Little Rock while representing Springdale.

Not only did Jon attend our functions, he also attends just about every function held in the Springdale community. One day he even called me and asked me to join him for lunch at the Shiloh Museum at one of their special events for the community. Not only dowe need representation in Little Rock, but also here in the community. Our leaders must be involved in the community or how can they truly represent us?

I never saw Mr. Pritchard at one of our events, nor have I ever seen him at a Springdale event until this past election season. I am endorsing Jon Woods for Arkansas state Senate.

BENTONVILLE TRAILS LOVELY

Let me just say how much I love, love, lovethe running/walking trails in Bentonville! I have been on the ones around Crystal Bridges every weekend since the weather started being nice. I had already experienced the Crystal Bridges Trail, running from Compton Gardens to the dog park, and now the trails on the east side of Crystal Bridges are so much fun!

I affectionately call them “citified organic” since it makes me feel like I’m in the woods but not in the boonies.

And while I don’t ride a bike, I enjoy seeing so many people taking advantage of the bike trails in and around town. Thisupgrade is yet another example of so many people using their time, talents and money to invest in the enrichment of a city and improving the quality of life here.

Thank you Bentonville Parks and Recreation and city of Bentonville for all you have done to ramp up the trail/biking system in the area.

This trait alone has made Bentonville a destination for many and it makes me proud to live in such a great community. Keep up the good work!
