— Arkansas' first on-campus football game against LSU in two decades will be played on a Friday.

CBS announced Wednesday it had once again picked to nationally televise the game the day after Thanksgiving. The Hogs and Tigers have a 1:30 p.m. kickoff scheduled on Nov. 23.

The 2012 game will mark the 16th time in 18 seasons the two teams have met on Friday. CBS has televised each of those matchups, as well as a Saturday matchup in 2010.

Arkansas announced earlier this year it was playing the game at Donald W. Reynolds Razorback Stadium in Fayetteville for the first time since 1992. The Razorbacks had played their previous nine home games against LSU at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock.

The series - known as the "Battle for the Golden Boot", referencing a trophy the winning team receives - has become one of the most anticipated late-season college football matchups in recent years. From 2005-10, no game was decided by more than eight points.

Then-No. 1 LSU beat then-No. 3 Arkansas 41-17 last season in the second-most watched college football game of the regular season.
