BELLA VISTA — Bella Vista Police received several calls reporting a power outage of the traffic light at the intersection of U.S. 71 and Bear Hollow Road on Wednesday. Several other business on the west side of Town Center also reported power outages.
According to the Carroll Electric outage map, 31 percent of those covered by the Ashdown substation were without power for almost an hour just after noon. The outage affected 1,300 accounts.
The outage was caused by a couple of bad insulators and a bad lightning arrestor, according to a Carroll Electric representative. Workers were able to locate the problem and restore power quickly.
