Romney: Ruling brings new urgency to election

— Mitt Romney says the Supreme Court’s health care decision has injected “greater urgency” in the presidential contest.

The presumptive Republican presidential nominee told donors in New York City on Friday that this new urgency is galvanizing voters across the country. And he says there’s only one way to ensure that the health care law he calls “Obamacare” will be repealed: defeat President Barack Obama in November.

Romney commented a day after the nation’s highest court upheld Obama’s health care overhaul.

Romney says many people assumed the court would “do the work that was necessary” in repealing the law. But he says the court “didn’t get that job done.”

His campaign has reported raising more than $4 million online since the court’s ruling Thursday.
