A Sebastian County Circuit Judge ordered a Fort Smith man who works as a clown held on $100,000 bond Wednesday in connection with child pornography charges.
Thomas Harold Morgan, 47, of Fort Smith, who performs as “Sondance the Clown,” is charged with four counts of possession of material depicting sexually explicit conduct with a child.
Circuit Judge James O. Cox delayed an arraignment for Morgan until July 5 after Morgan told Cox during a video appearance that he wanted to hire an attorney.
According to the prosecutor’s office, conditions of the bond include that Morgan have no contact with children under 18 and no access to the Internet.
A Fort Smith Police Department computer forensics team detected Morgan downloading illegal child exploitation files over an Internet file-sharing network to his home computer last week. He was arrested June 20.
