An article Tuesday about a settlement between Baldor Electric of Fort Smith and the U.S. Department of Labor incorrectly paraphrased comments by Mike Trupo, a Labor Department spokesman. Trupo said the settlement was the result of an audit of Baldor’s hiring practices. Tuesday’s article erroneously stated that Trupo had addressed the issue of a potential class-action discrimination lawsuit.
