BULL SHOALS — Authorities are searching for an Illinois man who disappeared in Bull Shoals Lake.
Marion County Sheriff Roger Vickers says searchers are looking for 38-year-old David Grissom of Freeport, Ill. The sheriff tells Mountain Home radio station KTLO that Grissom disappeared Saturday night after he reportedly jumped from a pontoon into the lake.
The sheriff says Grissom apparently wanted to swim to some nearby bluffs when he went under the water.
Vickers says searchers began looking for Grissom on Saturday night but no one has found him. The sheriff says the water depth in that area is 100 to 140 feet.
