Springdale Smokers ready to cater

Y BBQ & Catering may not be as recognizable locally as some of its rivals, but the Springdale crew is certainly well known nationally for its competitive success.

The restaurant is only open 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Monday-Saturday, although owner Robert Waddell and his sons work many more hours. A large portion of Wad- dell’s energy goes into catering large parties and traveling to bar- becue contests.

For parties of 20 and more, popular meat selections include ribs, brisket, pulled pork and Cornish hen halves. Made-from- scratch side items include loaded baked potato salad with bacon and chives, Asian vinaigrette coleslaw and Ozark whistle beans. Banana pudding is offered for dessert.

South Fayetteville pub brews with berries

Tanglewood Branch Beer Com- pany is brewing up a new batch of tasty libations with a Bavar- ian berry hefeweizen. The wheat beer is blended with a berry syrup made from blueberries, blackber- ries and raspberries fresh from the Fayetteville Farmers Market.

Since each batch is brewed by one individual, quantities are lim- ited.

“We’ve been brewing Southside Porter to try to keep it on tap all the time. A second tap will vary. After the berry weizen it will be a traditional weizen,” said brew- master and owner J.T. Wampler.

Vetro 1925 private room for all occasions

The Italian restaurant located on the Fayetteville downtown square anticipated the opportunity to host private affairs and renovated the basement with carpet, wall-trim wine cases, a drop-down projector screen and private wait station. The amenities allow Vetro 1925 to not on- ly serve meals and drinks in a swank, comfortable setting, but the staff is also ready to assist with decorations, menus, music, etc.

“We have hosted several rehearsal dinners in our beautiful wine room.

We print the menu for guests ac- cording to the bride’s style (color, font choice), use flowers in her color palette, order linens to her liking - whatever she wants,” co-owner Mar- cia Harris said.

Vetro 1925 can host any kind of special occasion. For more informa- tion call (479) 966-4649.
