Sherwood man drowns in Indian Lake

A Sherwood man drowned yesterday, according to a report from the Lonoke County sheriff's office.

Alvis Aaron Jordan, 19, was changing two flat tires and went into Indian Lake outside of Cabot to cool down. Witnesses said he then went under the water, according to the report. Authorities responded to a report of a drowning around 7:50 p.m., and the Cabot Fire Department's dive team conducted a search, locating Jordan's body around 10:13 p.m.

Authorities are investigating the incident, and there are no signs of foul play, sheriff's office spokesman Lt. Jim Kulesa said.
