18-wheeler hauling fruit flips on I-40, authorities say

An 18-wheeler flipped on Interstate-40 early this morning causing traffic congestion, according to Arkansas State Police.

The accident occurred around 4 a.m., near the 130 mile marker, which is outside of Conway, Arkansas State Police dispatcher Bill Clay said.

The 18-wheeler flipped in the eastbound lane, blocking a lane. Authorities are working to unload the truck of its cargo– lemons and oranges.

Clay estimated it would take several more hours to completely clear the lane.

No injuries were reported, Clay said.
