Lonoke, Greenwood win shooting titles

Lonoke Team Nitro STS won the AYSSP senior division championship Saturday at Blue Rock Gun Club in Lonoke. From left are Chuck Woodson, AYSSP coordinator, Thomas McCallie, James Chambless, Pierce Jackson, Kyler Fancher, Scott Foltz and Coach Renae Chambless.

More than 4,800 students participated in the Arkansas Youth Shooting Sports state championship trap shoot last weekend at Remington Gun Club, with Lonoke Team Nitro-STS winning the senior championship and Greenwood G-Force winning the junior championship. Overall, 5,713 students participated in the program in 2012.
