CASUALTIES OF WAR

To honor the men and women in our armed forces and remind our readers of their sacrifices, the Benton County Daily Record is publishing Department ofDefense announcements identifying Americans killed in active military operations.

Spc. Samuel T. Watts, 20, of Wheaton, Ill., died May 19 in Bethesda, Md., of wounds suffered April 25 in Zharay, Afghanistan, when he was attacked with an enemy improvised explosive device. Watts was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 508th Parachute Infantry Regiment, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, N.C.
