CITY 15 INCHES BEHIND IN RAINFALL FOR YEAR

ark Jeffery with the Bentonville Parks and Recreation Department waters the greenery in the flower beds early Friday at Orchards Park in Bentonville. Crews have been watering at the park daily to keep the tree and plants hydrated during the ongoing drought.

Bentonville and Rogers have worked overtime to keep their ball fields grassy, flowers blooming and trees alive during the last two months. At times, it can seem like a losing battle.

Drought Outlook

The National Weather Service’s Climate Predication Center forecasts that the drought will continue to persist throughout all of Northern Arkansas.
