Good Job Mayor and City Council members who voted for Allied. Why? Because the tedious transition to a whole new sanitation provider was not worth saving 77 cents a month for rate payers or $3,100 per year total. Besides, we are still going to save $3.23 per month for the exact service that we have had. The entire City Council should be commended for bidding the sanitation service and Deffenbaugh should be commended for creating serious leverage for Bentonville residents to see a significant savings for this particularly important municipal function.

I agree - very happy with this decision. Allied has done an excellent job for a long time and I'm glad I don't have to deal with a change.

I have not followed this debate closely but do question why Allied would be retained as the provider. If Allied has been over priced for years, why would they be retained or rewarded for overpricing their service? Is there some other information I am missing?
