Property Tax Appeals To Begin

BENTONVILLE — Benton County officials are readying for the annual property tax appeals cycle, with change in value notices sent to about 3,100 property owners.

Equalization Board

The Equalization Board’s nine members are selected by school districts, cities and incorporated towns and appointed by the county judge and Quorum Court. Members serve three-year terms with each expiring the first Monday of June of each year. Application forms to request a hearing can be downloaded from the county assessor’s website. The deadline to file an application is the third Monday in August.
