Boeing going to the max for their 737 Max

Boeing’s plant in Renton, Wash., has two assembly lines for the aircraft manufacturer’s workhorse 737, including the No. 1 line shown here. Boeing plans to make space for a third line to assemble its 737 Max airplane.

The new mall and residential buildings facing Boeing’s 737 assembly plant in Renton, Wash., stand as a reminder that a decade ago the company sloughed off excess land, and city officials made contingency plans for a possible future with no jet plant.
