A 7-year-old girl was killed this morning after being tossed from and dragged by a mule she was riding, according to a news release from the Benton County Sheriff's Office.
The incident happened on the 12000 block of Ervin McGarrah Road east of Lowell, according the news release.
A passerby reported seeing a mule dragging a small child. A sheriff's office corporal responded to the scene and found family members performing CPR on the child. The child was transported to Northwest Medical Center but died of her injuries, according to the news release.
