LITTLE ROCK — FOOTBALL Three Razorbacks on Maxwell list
College football’s summer watch list season opened Monday and the Arkansas Razorbacks were well represented with a three offensive standouts on the Maxwell Award list.
Quarterback Tyler Wilson, tailback Knile Davis and receiver Cobi Hamilton were all included on the preseason list for the award, which has been given annually since 1937 to college football’s most outstanding player.
The Maxwell Award, based out of Philadelphia, put 45 players on its watch list, including 13 from the SEC. Arkansas led the way in the SEC with its three picks and trailed only Southern California, which had four players on the list, nationally.
Semi-finalists for the Maxwell Award will be announced Oct. 29 and three finalists will be revealed Nov. 19. The winner will be announced on ESPNU on Dec. 6.
