Extra Space Will Hold Off Student Crowding

Mark McGee, right, and Joe Whitely shovel in front of a motor grader Tuesday while doing foundation work for the new Ronald Bradshaw Track at Har-Ber High School in Springdale. Crews expect to finish the running track in the next two or three months. The Springdale School Board approved naming the track after the long-time assistant superintendent for support services, who retired this year.
The School District’s Alternative Learning Center will likely escape student overcrowding because of a deal to expand the program.

i like the picture of the workers working on an ATHLETIC FACILITY! you know, ALL THAT CONSTRUCTION AT HAR-BER ON ATHLETIC FACILITIES? those facilites that caused the last tax increase to be voted down? and then we would told, okay, the tax money won't be for facilities, so we passed it the second go around? yea, now they're being built anyway. i guess they found the $$ somewhere's else. right? you don't think they had that money all along do you? you don't think the latest tax increase was really not needed do you? where did all the money come for an indoor FB facility, baseball diamond and track? hmmmmmmmmmm.
