Planning Commission To Meet Monday

BELLA VISTA — The Planning Commission will hold a public hearing about reclassifying two streets at its meeting Monday night.

The meeting is set for 6:30 p.m. in the Fire Department training room at Town Center.

Chris Suneson, planning director, recommended the commission update Oldham Drive from a subcollector street to minor arterial for the first 850 feet west of Bella Vista Way. The remainder of Oldham, to its intersection with Chelsea Road, would be classified a collector street, Suneson said.

Commissioners also will consider updating Dartmoor Road from a collector to minor arterial west to its intersection with Blowing Springs and Lambeth roads.

The purpose of updating the roads on the city’s street plan is to ensure potential developers adjacent to those streets pay the cost of upgrades, commissioners said in a work session June 27. Developers will consult the plan for street upgrade criteria.

The commission will also discuss two waiver requests concerning the construction of circular driveways at separate residences.
