BELLA VISTA — A high school student will host a “Back to School Bash” on Aug. 4 to help elementary school students win school supplies.

The bash will be a carnival with a variety of games for Bentonville and Gravette school children, hosted by participating high school students and area volunteers, according to a news release.

The event will be offered in two free sessions — from 10 a.m. to noon and from noon to 2 p.m. — at Riordan Hall in Bella Vista. The event is free and tickets are required to attend. Tickets will not be available the day of the event, according to the release.

Cheyenne Dostart, the Bentonville High School student organizing the bash, hopes to provide 500 children from kindergarten through fourth grade with school supplies, according to the release.

Food also will be sold at the event and money raised will be donated to Cooper Elementary School and Gravette elementary schools, according to the release.
