Around 3:30 p.m., a white male and a black male were shot several times near the intersection of Lindsey Drive and Violet Cove in Alexander, according to Alexander police chief Horace Walters.

Walters told a reporter with Arkansas Online that the shooting occurred in front of a home on Violet Cove, which has been known in the past for drug-related incidents. Authorities recovered drugs and a large amount of money at the scene.

Walters said one man was shot in the leg and torso and taken to Saline Memorial hospital before authorities arrived. Authorities found the second victim lying in the yard. Walters said police are also investigating the possibility that a third victim was involved in the shooting.
