The fire chief opening has drawn applications from across the nation, but not any yet from inside the department.

I like the way Mcdonald pats himself on the back like he is running for office, and the way he gets a indoresment from a rooky fireperson. It would be wise for the city to go outside the fireman who want to be chief are tanted.

I think it's time to go outside the department for a new chief. From what McDonald said, there must be more problems within the department then the public knows. Why else would McDonald say" I think I could get out problems fixed quicker."
