LEG BAND REVEALS ROYAL BIRD’S ORIGIN

Bands can be seen on the legs of this bald eagle at Swepco Lake, photographed by Mike Martin of Cave Springs. Information on the bands indicates the male eagle is 16 years old and was hatched at Clinton Reservoir near Lawrence, Kan., said a U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service official.
Wildlife photographer Mike Martin says that hunting pictures with his camera is a lot like hunting with a rifle.
