MAYOR OUTLINES STATUS IN ANNUAL ADDRESS

The city had its best year in 2011, said Mayor Greg Hines on Tuesday in his state of the city address.

Council Action
The Rogers City Council met Tuesday approved:
• A $33,960 contract with Thermo Scientific of Texas for a chemical detection device.
• Amending the 2012 Main Street Rogers budget by $26,434 to reflect a raise for the executive director, and a bonus plan for and salary of the event coordinator.
• Spending $120,000 for an automated dispatch system for city’s Dispatch Center.
• Using $5,254 from the CMRS 911 Act 46 Fund to update dispatch control stations.
