CREDIT COUNSELOR SAYS TIME RIGHT FOR BUYING

Historic low interest rates and declining prices helped bump up home sales 9 percent in 2011, according to Paul Bynum, economist with MountData.
“Based upon volume, units sold and days-on-market, I would vote for Rogers as having the best all-around time in 2011 compared to 2010.”

Credit Counseling of Arkansas offers a free homebuyer education course each month. The eight-hour class is open to the public and designed for first-time buyers. The program educates attendees about the process and ongoing homeownership responsibilities.
