STATE’S DUCK SEASON GETTING MIXED REVIEWS

Sunrise is near and hunters at Beaver Lake stand ready to intercept squadrons of ducks they hope will teeter on cupped wings toward their decoys.

The forecast called for a 90 percent chance of the sky raining mallards in those anxious days before Arkansas’ duck hunting season opened Nov. 19.
