Boy, 15, to be charged as adult in death

The Franklin County prosecuting attorney said Tuesday he plans to pursue an adult charge against a 15-year-old Ozark boy who authorities said shot and killed his 16-year-old sister Sunday morning.
The teen is scheduled to appear before Circuit Judge William Pearson in Russellville at 2 p.m. Tuesday, prosecutor David Gibbons said.
Gibbons said he intends to file a formal charge of first-degree murder by the end of the week.
The boy was arrested Sunday morning after he drove to the Franklin County sheriff’s office in Ozark and told a dispatcher he shot his 16-year-old sister to death. He didn’t say why he shot her, Franklin County Sheriff Anthony Boen said Monday.
