Two Springdale residents were flown to the Arkansas Children’s Hospital burn unit after a fire early Friday morning.
Firefighters responding to a 12:12 a.m. call at 1520 Rogers Ave. pulled two unresponsive women out of high heat and heavy smoke in the house, according to a news release from the fire department. Both were treated by paramedics, transported to Northwest Medical Center — Springdale and later flown to the Little Rock hospital.
No further information is available on the name or condition of the patients. The fire was brought under control after two hours. A fire department captain was treated and released from Northwest for smoke inhalation.
